“This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” – Psalm 118:24 (NASB) Each day we wake up is a gift—handcrafted by the Lord Himself. Psalm 118:24 is a powerful reminder that today, not yesterday or tomorrow, is the day God has intentionally designed. No matter what we’re facing—joy or trial, peace or pressure—God is sovereign over it all. This verse doesn’t call us to rejoice because every circumstance is perfect, but because God is present in this day. His mercies are new this morning (Lamentations 3:22-23), and His grace is sufficient for whatever lies ahead (2 Corinthians 12:9). Choosing to rejoice is not about denying hardship but acknowledging God’s faithful hand in the midst of it. It’s a declaration of trust—a heart posture that says, “Lord, I may not know what this day holds, but I know You made it, and You are with me.” Prayer: Father, thank You for this day You have made. Help me to see it as a gift and respond with joy and gratitude, no matter what comes. Strengthen my heart to trust in Your goodness and rejoice in Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Let this be the anthem of your heart today: God made this day—so I will rejoice in Him.
